Round 9 of GPS Cricket was the last Round vs BGS

TSS put in an excellent performance with our teams vs BGS. The last game in TSS colours for our Yr12 boys and they didn’t let us down.

The 8A’s and 2nd XI sides were in early trouble in both games but held together to get the wins. Will Slack-Smith (71) kept the 2nd XI innings together and Myles Massey / Lachlan Pask (23) with the 8A’s. Both sides rallied to get a memorable win. The 11A’s scored freely off the shoulders of Max Kahler and then Angus James ran amok with the ball to win well. The 10A’s always have a close game and this time they got the win with Max Kemp playing a key hand in chasing the total down.

The 8B’s, 10B’s and 11B’s were all in contention for the premiership in the last round- only dropping 1 game in the season thus far. 8B’s led off with an imposing total of 163 and then dismissed BGS for 8/116 to seal a premiership.

1st XI played a great final match set up for the GPS Cricket Championship by openers Cameron Sinfield (34) and Ishaan Sandhu (66) ably supported by Jacob Bath (55) and Jaxson Davies (22) to set an imposing total of 227. In reply Jacob Bath 4/20 and Ryan Summers 2/27 took early wickets to have BGS reeling at 7/58 to then go on and finish the undefeated season. TSS is the holder of the Earle Williams Trophy in 2024 and 24 time winner in the history of the Competition of which 10 wins have been achieved in the last 14 years.
