Upcoming TSS Cricket Camps: Dec 7-9 2022 & Jan 17-19 2023

There is an optional TSS Cricket Camp in the December and January holidays with expert coaching and a host of practice matches. These Skills and Games Based camps for enrolled TSS students have been a success over recent years, with boys leaving the camp as better cricketers, having had lots of fun and were coached by our invited/elite coaches. Both camps will be held at The Southport School (Senior Campus) with registration from 8:30am. The camp will commence at 9:30am-2:45pm each day. * Some matches may run later and we will advise if this happens.

The December TSS Cricket ‘Skills’ camp will run from Wed 7 to Fri 9 December 2022 and will focus on skill development backed with expert coaching of each player’s fielding, batting and bowling technique. This camp caters for a wide range of ages (“2023” Year 5-10) TSS Cricketers. This camp assists players to have their game ready for the upcoming GPS Season and State Carnivals. We will be playing a range of Gold Coast Rep sides.

The Pre-GPS January TSS Cricket “Teams” camp will run from Tues 17 to Thurs 19 January 2023. It will focus on teamwork and game sense strategies with expert team coaches then practice matches vs a range of opponents. This camp is for all 2023 Yr5-12 GPS/TSS cricketers ONLY and will play BGS in planned matches from 2023 Yr5’s to 2nd XI. It is also an excellent opportunity for incoming TSS students to get started.

During the three days, the boys will have access to Level 2 and 3 cricket coaches, TSS teachers, specialist skill sessions, games and fun activities as well as lunch being provided each day.

The cost for each camp is $180.

For incoming 2023 TSS students it’s an ideal way to access the TSS Cricket Program and meet, train and compete alongside current TSS students. Incoming students will need to have TASS Parent Lounge set up for Registration and be already enrolled as a student to TSS.

For current enrolled TSS students registration is via Parent Lounge.

Please note that in line with school policy that notification must be made to the school 5 days before camp commences if a student is not going to attend. Provision of catering, coaches and associated costs means that registration fees will not be refunded if boys are registered and we do not receive notification within the 5 day timeframe.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position where we can accommodate boys overnight so attendees at the camp will need to find their own accommodation if they do not live in the vicinity of the School.

A Confirmation email and any specific requirements for the camp will be sent 5 days before camp commencement. The minimum equipment needed by boys to participate is Groin Protector, Helmet and Batting Gloves for hygiene.
