Match Report
The Southport School Boys-U13C vs  Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie)
On: Saturday, 27 Jul 2019
Venue: Away

13C TSS 7 – ACGS 57

The TSS 13C’s showed tremendous character in their match vs Churchie. Whilst the scoreboard reflected a one-sided victory to Churchie, the TSS boys kept fighting to the end and showed great commitment throughout. It was definitely a game of two halves with TSS only narrowly losing the 1st half battle. The TSS boys faired well in set pieces but tended to lose the battle of possession at the ruck and maul. The team’s captain Wally Hacon led the team well and was easily the best defender on the field. George Milson must be mentioned for his ongoing efforts in getting his team over the advantage line. All in all, the boys did well with only three training sessions behind them. Areas for improvement as agreed post game between coach and players were fitness number 1, aggression at the ruck, 2 and keeping shape on attack and defence, 3.The boys will continue to improve at training and look forward to an improved outing next weekend.
